BYU football: Kai Nacua waived by Cleveland Browns

They say the NFL doesn’t always stand for “National Football League.” Sometimes, it stands for “Not For Long.” BYU football’s Kai Nacua found that out the hard way.

Just one day after surviving the cuts to make Cleveland’s 53-man roster, Nacua was cut by the Browns.

He had been a trendy pick to make the team, especially with the lack of depth in the Cleveland secondary.

#Browns cut WR Rashard Higgins, DBs Darius Hillary, Kai Nacua and Marcus Burley and DE Tyrone Holmes. Have 4 QBs on roster for now.

Nacua had played well throughout the preseason, so there’s a chance that he lands on Cleveland’s practice squad (or another team for that matter).
