BYU Football has a new administrator.
The Cougars hired Jon Swift as the new Director of Football Operations, taking over for Russell Tialavea.
The Director of Football Operations is different from other football jobs. Swift is tasked with handling the administrative side of the team. As listed on Swift’s bio for byucougars.com, the responsibilities of the position are “overseeing the daily operations of the football department, managing the active roster, and serving as the liaison with student life and admissions.”
Swift will juggle the things that make the football program run behind the scenes while Kalani Sitake and his staff run the team.
