PROVO — Francis Bernard's two-touchdown performance in BYU's 52-10 win over Fresno State was a great way to cap off a memorable weekend for the freshman running back.
Sure, the two scores were great, but the highlight of Bernard's week may have come with his alma mater Herriman winning the 5A state title over Lone Peak on Friday night.
It was the first state title for the Mustang football program since the school was founded in 2011. Bernard was part of that 2011 team and took great pride in seeing his prep program evolve into a state champion.
