BYU football: Ed Lamb leaving SUU to become assistant head coach for Cougars

Southern Utah football coach Ed Lamb is leaving Cedart City — and returning to Provo.

BYU football coach Kalani Sitake today announced Saturday that he has hired Lamb as his assistant head coach. Lamb comes to BYU with 19 years of coaching experience, including the last eight seasons as the coach of the T-Birds.

"I'm excited to announce Ed Lamb as the assistant head coach at BYU," Sitake said in a statement. "He is an experienced head coach with expertise coaching both sides of the ball as well as special teams. I value my great relationship with Ed and I'm looking forward to working closely with him at BYU.
