PROVO — BYU's offense struggled again as Massachusetts held on to beat BYU 16-10 Saturday at LaVell Edwards Stadium.
It's BYU's first nine-loss season since 1955 and the first time the Cougars (3-9) will end the season with a losing record at home since 1971. It's also the Minutemen's first road victory over a FBS team in program history.
Freshman quarterback Joe Critchlow completed 20 of 44 passes for 231 yards behind an offensive line that gave up seven sacks.
