BYU Football’s biggest 2019 recruit just received one of the highest honors a high school footballer can get.
Cougar commit Jacob Conover is on MaxPreps’ preseason high school All-American list. He’s one of three quarterbacks on the second team, joining Alabama commit Taulia Tagolaivoa and Arizona commit Grant Gunnell.
Conover is entering his senior season at Chandler (Ariz.) High School, and he’ll look to have a third straight stellar year.
He led the school to back-to-back 6A State Championships and back-to-back Top 25 national rankings.
As a sophomore he threw for 3,715 yards and 32 touchdowns, with a 69% completion percentage and 5 interceptions.
