Butch Pau’u has become a key cog in BYU football’s defense, but according to reports from 1320 KFAN’s Mitch Harper, Pau’u is doubtful for the Cougars game tonight against the Toledo Rockets.
ESPN 960’s Ben Criddle had a similar report for Pau’u.
Pau’u has apparently been walking around with a knee brace. It’s been speculated that he hurt his knee on this play against the West Virginia Mountaineers at FedEx Field last Saturday.
If Pau’u can’t play, look for some combination of Austin Heder, Phillip Amone and Johnny Tapusoa to fill in.
