Former BYU receiver Austin Collie is finally calling it quits, it appears.
Collie, 30, notified the British Columbia Lions of the Canadian Football League that he intends to retire, the club announced on Wednesday.
After two years away from football, Collie joined the CFL club last year at this time, reuniting with former BYU quarterback John Beck.
After a fantastic start — he caught 11 passes for 149 yards and two touchdowns in his first two games — Collie cooled off quite a bit and finished the season with 43 catches for 439 yards and seven TDs.
