BYU football announced on Monday that they are in an agreement with Ole Miss of the SEC and Dixie State to play on future dates.
The Rebels of Ole Miss will visit Provo in September of 2028 and BYU will return the trip to Oxford, MS that following year. The two teams played in 2011 in Oxford, BYU’s first year of independence. In fact, it was their first ever game as an independent. BYU beat Ole Miss 14-13 in that matchup, thanks to a Jake Heaps passing touchdown and then a fumble recovery returned for a score by Kyle Van Noy with just five minutes left in the game.
