BYU football announced a pair of changes to its coaching staff Friday, this time on the defensive side of the ball.
Former BYU defensive back and graduate assistant Preston Hadley will join the staff as the team's safeties coach, while Steve Kaufusi, a longtime defensive coach for the Cougars who coached the linebackers last year, is stepping down to explore other interests.
Hadley comes to BYU after two years as the secondary coach at Weber State. There, he helped the Wildcats finish the 2017 season with a school record 11 wins while mentoring All-America cornerback Taron Johnson.
