BYU defensive coordinator Ilaisa Tuiaki confirms Francis Bernard leaving program

PROVO — BYU junior linebacker Francis Bernard is leaving the program, according to defensive coordinator Ilaisa Tuiaki.

BYU announced last Thursday that Bernard was going to redshirt in 2017 for personal reasons. Monday, Tuiaki addressed the issue with the Voice of the Cougars, Greg Wrubell on the “Coordinators Corner” on ESPN 960.
