PROVO — From a 13-inning, five-hour, one-run loss to arch-rival Utah Tuesday; to a zany slugfest against Portland that made the scoreboard look like the national debt; to a series sweep of the Pilots on Senior Day Saturday, it was a memorable week for the BYU baseball program.
How would Cougar coach Mike Littlewood describe it?
“In one word, exhausting. We’ve got a tired team right now,” he said. “Thank goodness for the Sabbath, where we know we have to take it off. It’s nice to have that day. They need these days to regroup and take a breath and enjoy the sweep, which is tough to do.
