14th-ranked BYU fell behind 26-14 to Houston but ended the game on a 29-0 run to beat the Cougars in red 43-26 Friday night in Houston.
Zach Wilson was BYU’s MVP, finishing 25/35 for 400 yards, 4 TDs, 0 interceptions and 40 rushing yards. His late TD pass to Dax Milne on 3rd and 16 to put BYU up 10 sealed the game for BYU and completed the comeback.
BYU started out strong, scoring touchdowns on their first 2 possessions en route to a 14-3 lead. The offense stalled during the second and most of the third quarters, however, and BYU’s defense allowed two 90+ yards drives to Houston.
