PROVO — On the Monday morning after the Meltdown at Michigan, BYU coach Bronco Mendenhall was focusing all of his efforts on helping his team improve.
“I’ve spent every minute working on us,” he said.
As of noon Monday, Mendenhall hadn’t watched any film on the Cougars’ opponent Friday — Connecticut (8:15 p.m. MDT, ESPN2).
“I’ve taken the approach with (the players) to get the most out of every day,” Mendenhall said. “We won’t focus on any day or game that is farther out than just that one. That gives us the best chance to have the season we want but more importantly, the team that we want.
