BYU landed its first commitment of the 2019 recruiting class in Timpview HS (Provo, UT) guard Nate Hansen. Nate announced the commitment via his twitter account.
The 6’3”, 165 lbs point guard also had scholarship offers from Portland, UC Davis and UC Irvine. Nate informed Vanquish the Foe that he plans on serving a LDS mission immediately following graduation.
Hansen averaged 15 points per game this past season and was teammates with guard Hunter Erickson, a signee in BYU’s 2018 class.
Hansen was diagnosed with a rare blood disorder known as rhabdomyolysis in March 2017, and spent the summer and fall recovering.
