It started bad and progressively got worse for BYU on Thursday night. The Pepperdine Waves dominated BYU in every aspect of the game as they ran away with the win 99-83 in Malibu. BYU kept it relatively close through most of the first half, until the Waves made a late charge to build a halftime lead of 9 points.
Coming out after the break, the Waves hit 12/15 from the field to put even more pressure on BYU. Eric Mika finally started to get some good looks, but fouled out late in the game along with Yoeli Childs which effectively ended the game for BYU.
