Dave Rose has found his replacement for Heath Schroyer, and he didn’t have to look very far.
On Wednesday, Rose announced the hiring of Lee Cummard as an assistant coach. He’ll fill the spot vacated when Schroyer took the head coaching position at McNese St.
Cummard has been a graduate assistant with the Cougars since 2016, and this will be his first opportunity as a full-fledged assistant.
BYU fans remember Cummard as an All-MWC wing who led the Cougars to three straight conference titles. He also earned AP All-America Honorable Mention honors in 2008.
