After a disappointing performance in the WCC tournament championship game, BYU will get one more shot at ending their season on a high note.
On Sunday evening it was announced that BYU would face 3rd seed Stanford (18-15) in the first round of the National Invitation Tournament. The Cougars get a #6 seed and will face the winner of Oklahoma State and Florida Gulf Coast if they advance. This appearance will mark the 13th consecutive season in which BYU has participated in either the NCAA or NIT tournaments.
There will be a few experimental rule changes implemented this year in the NIT, most notably there will be a wider lane, an extended three-point line and there will be four 10-minute quarters as opposed to two halves.
