ESPN bracketologist Joe Lunardi had Gonzaga among his first four out on Feb. 22 and again on Feb. 25. Gonzaga won at San Diego and at BYU, but stayed in the first four out in the projections that Lunardi released on Monday.
He did mention the Zags in a video segment on the website regarding bubble teams which will draw heavy interest from the selection committee, citing that string of 17 straight appearances and saying the Zags "are a fixture" in the tournament.
Gonzaga's RPI is 66, and the Zags have no top-50 RPI wins and are just 3-7 against the top 100.
