PROVO — BYU basketball coach Dave Rose announced Friday that two players, Hunter Erickson and Trevin Knell, have signed National Letters of Intent to play for the Cougars.
Erickson, a guard from Timpview High, averaged 22 points and knocked down 57 3-pointers as a junior last season. He helped guide the Thunderbirds to a 18-6 record.
“Hunter is a tough, skilled and athletic guard,” Rose said. “We love his competitive nature and are so excited to have the opportunity to have him join our program.”
After the 2016-17 season, Erickson was named first-team all-state by the Deseret News and the Salt Lake Tribune.
