PROVO — Remember when BYU barely beat San Diego by two points last Thursday at Jenny Craig Pavilion?
Well, that seems like eons ago.
The Cougars earned their largest margin of victory — 58 points — against a Division I opponent in school history and tied their record of fewest points allowed in the shot clock era in a resounding 91-33 victory over those same Toreros Saturday at the Marriott Center.
San Diego scored a feeble 11 points in the first half.
“That might be as good as we’ve ever played with this group,” said coach Dave Rose.
