Provo - Kyle Collinsworth and Chase Fischer missed BYU's first exhibition game last week while nursing some minor injuries, but returned in a big way Saturday night to lead the Cougars past Alaska Fairbanks 77-64 at the Marriott Center.
Collinsworth scored 14 points and grabbed six rebounds, including 10 and five in the first half, and Fischer added 18 points to lead all scorers as BYU improved to 2-0 in exhibition games. The Cougars will start their regular season on Friday at home against Utah Valley University.
Jakob Hartsock and Nick Emery added 11 points apiece for the Cougars, while Braiden Shaw had nine points and seven rebounds.
