Collinsworth delivered, finishing with 21 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists for the ninth triple-double of his career and third this season. The nine triple-doubles is an NCAA record for a career.
BYU (11-5, 2-1 WCC) led the entire game and took advantage of a rare off-night from 5-12 Santa Clara's Jared Brownridge, the league's second-leading scorer. He finished with just 16 points on 5-for-16 shooting.
It was the Cougars' 14th-straight win over Santa Clara, the only team in the WCC that has never beaten BYU since it joined the league in 2011-12. Along with the outstanding floor game, Collinsworth was instrumental in keeping Brownridge in check, along with Nick Emery and Jordan Chatman.
