A dozen consecutive home games begin with Tuesday’s opener at Miller Park for BYU baseball hosting Utah Valley University at 6 p.m.
The Cougars continue their best start in school history with a 10-1 record, while Utah Valley is 7-3. A four-game home stand against Niagara, 2-11, runs Thursday through Saturday.
Sophomore Maverik Buffo (2-0, 2.33) will be the starting pitcher for BYU against UVU but will only pitch one inning. Michael Rucker (2-0, 3.86) and Buffo will start the first two games against Niagara. Lefty Hayden Rogers (1-0, 4.26) will be the Cougar starter in Friday’s nightcap, but Saturday’s pitching rotation is yet to be announced.
