Designated hitter Colton Shaver of BYU has been named Rawlings Third-Team All-American by the American Baseball Coaches Association.
The 6-foot-1 sophomore from Riverton, Utah, via Jordan High School, was named last week to the West ABCA/Rawlings All-Region first team. Shaver was also selected by coaches as Second-Team All-West Coast Conference.
Shaver led BYU in RBIs with 57 overall and 30 in WCC games. He batted .335 for the season and also led the team overall with 10 home runs, a .582 slugging average and 39 bases on balls, six of which were intentional. He had five-game winning RBIs in 2016.
