There has been plenty of speculation, news and banter regarding Big 12 expansion in the last couple of days.
An editorial from the Iowa State Daily that talked about how BYU should be left out of Big 12 expansion didn't sit well with former BYU Cougar player Brady Poppinga. So much so that he responded to the editor with some very strong opinions of his own.
"Discrimination is NOT a set of standards of behaviors based on personal beliefs," writes Poppinga. "Discrimination is treating a group defined by religion, sexual orientation, or any other label with a different set of rules"
He goes on to explain how the honor code applies to visit students, saying, "If you are not in fact a student of BYU you are not held to the same standards.
