McCabe, of the UnitedHealthcare Pro Cycling Team, took second place, a tire-width difference from his third career stage victory in the Tour of Utah. Trek-Segafredo’s Kiel Reijnen, an American who won stages at the event in 2015 and 2016, finished third.
Overall race leader Sepp Kuss (USA) of Team LottoNL-Jumbo finished 10th and retained the yellow jersey.
