A recent statewide Salt Lake Tribune-Hinckley Institute of Politics poll indicates nearly two-thirds of registered voters believe the effort has been at least somewhat effective in reducing lawlessness near the 210 S. Rio Grande St. shelter.
Conducted Oct. 10-13 by Dan Jones & Associates, the poll found that 12 percent thought it had been “very effective” and 51 percent said it was “somewhat” so. Fifteen percent said it was “not very effective,” and only 6 percent felt it had been “not at all effective.
