A Utah woman says her dog was shot in her own yard. The sheriff’s office is asking for help to find who did it.

An Eagle Mountain woman says her dog was injured when someone shot it with a pellet gun while in her own yard, and the Utah County Sheriff’s Office is getting involved.

Sgt. Spencer Cannon with the Utah County Sheriff’s Office told FOX 13 that anyone with information related to the shooting should contact his office immediately at (801) 789-6701.

The incident is one in a series of recent dog shootings in Utah County. In November, a family expressed their sadness after one of their dogs and mother of puppies was shot to death in their backyard.
