12th-ranked BYU Volleyball visited Utah on Thursday evening to take on the 18th-ranked Utes and won 3-1 (25-22, 25-21, 12-25, 25-18).
The Cougars came into the match on a three-game win streak against the Utes, including two wins last year against the Utes, both 3-0 sweeps at the Smith Fieldhouse(one in the NCAA Tournament). The Cougars and Utes struggled to establish dominance in the first set, with the teams trading points. The Cougars finally broke away and created a small gap at 24-21, and would win the set 25-22.
The Utes started the second set strong, pressuring the Cougars and taking an early lead.
