#10 BYU women’s volleyball fell to San Diego in a rematch of the Cougars lone conference loss of the season in five sets on Friday night (25-18, 23-25, 26-24, 16-25, 9-15).
The Cougars came into the match on a six-match win streak since losing to the Torreros on October 18, and came out strong in the first set. The Cougars led by as many as eight in the first set, going up 17-9. The Torreros would gnaw at the BYU lead, but the Cougars would close out the set and win 25-18.
The second set was tight from the first serve, with neither team ever leading by more than three in the set.
