INDIANAPOLIS – After beating three low-major opponents to open the college basketball season, Butler will test itself against Michigan State in the Gavitt Tipoff Games on Wednesday night at Hinkle Fieldhouse.
Michigan State opened with an 87-74 loss to No. 3 Kansas in the Champions Classic and crushed Western Michigan 90-46.
Michigan State was 3-8 on the road last season. Butler is 62-1 in its past 63 nonconference home games.
