INDIANAPOLIS – Point guard Aaron Thompson is the latest Butler basketball player to make a public statement about racial injustice.

Thompson, who is black, is from Glenn Dale, Md., and played high school basketball in the Washington, D.C., area. Although he has been a leader for the Bulldogs since his freshman season, he has not been vocal off the court.

“I guess part of the reason that makes me tired and angry is that it’s not like we are fighting to conquer the world or be above anybody,” Thompson posted on Twitter.
