Former Butler guard Ronald Nored has been hired as an assistant coach for the Charolette Hornets, per ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski. Since 2016, Nored had been the head coach for the the Long Island Nets, the Brooklyn Nets' G-League team.
A hard-nosed guard and leader for Butler (2008-12), he was part of the two NCAA championship-game runs with the Bulldogs. After graduation, he coached one season at Brownsburg High School.
His former coach Brad Stevens offered him a position with the Boston Celtics organization and Nored became an assistant for the Maine Red Claws, the Celtics G-League team along with having a developmental role with the Celtics.
