Two of Butler’s top basketball recruiting targets are making official visits to campus this weekend: point guard Wabissa Bede and forward Kyle Young.
The 6-1 Bede, of Cushing Academy in Ashburnham, Mass., is ranked 87th in his class by ESPN and 110th by 247Sports. He has been a Bulldogs priority, even though he was once not considered an elite prospect.
That changed over the summer. He helped his Mass Rivals team win the Adidas Uprising under-17 championship at Las Vegas last month. Mass Rivals was 21-0 on the summer circuit.
Bede has scheduled visits next month to Virginia Tech and Minnesota, according to scout.
