No surprise here: Butler does what Butler does in March, advances past Arkansas

DETROIT – Butler had it, then didn’t. Then did.

The Bulldogs built a 19-point lead in the opening seven minutes, lost off all of it, and then came back to dominate Arkansas 77-60 Friday in the first round of the NCAA East Regional.

Kamar Baldwin had 24 points, nine rebounds and five assists. Big East scoring champion Kelan Martin had 25 points and nine rebounds. They combined for 31 of Butler’s 43 in the second half

No. 10 seed Butler (21-13) will play No. 2 seed Purdue (29-6) on Sunday for a berth in the Sweet 16.
