The Butler women’s soccer team fell for the first time in 2018 in a 1-0 loss to No. 19 Kansas on Sept. 2. The match went scoreless for over 80 minutes before Elise Reina netted an 85th-minute goal that sealed the win for the Jayhawks.
The first half was defined by defense on both sides as neither team was able to come up with a decent chance without being heavily contested by the opposition.
