RALEIGH, N.C. – Tyler Lewis made peace long ago about his decision to transfer from North Carolina State to Butler. But winning an NCAA tournament basketball game at PNC Arena, where he once represented the Wolfpack, would be gratifying.
“It would mean the world to me if we get these two wins this weekend,” the Bulldogs point guard said.
No. 9-seeded Butler (21-10) meets No. 8 seed Texas Tech (19-12) on Thursday in the first round of the Midwest Regional.
The teams resemble each other in that both finished in the middle of a power conference after rocky starts.
