All-American Erik Peterson and newcomer Katherine Turner led the Butler track and field squad this weekend with a pair of national top-ten times on the track.
Peterson made his return for a senior campaign with a fourth-place finish (8:02.81) in the men's 3000-meter run at Indiana University's Gladstein Invite on Friday, the sixth-fastest 3K time in the nation at the time of competition. The blazing time follows Peterson's stellar performance at last year's NCAA Division I National Cross Country Championships.
Turner clocked 9:27.45 in the women's 3K for 2nd overall behind Notre Dame alumna Rebecca Tracy, who clocked 9:22.
