Butler made a charge up the leaderboard early Monday before play was suspended due to inclement weather near the end of the second round at the 2016 BIG EAST Men's Golf Championship in Callawassie Island, S.C.
Tuesday will begin with the conclusion of the second round followed by the final 18 holes of the tournament.
With a few holes to play, Butler is in fourth at +22. Georgetown leads at +3, followed by Xavier (+11) and Marquette (+16). Seton Hall (+23), DePaul (+24), St. John's (+29), Villanova (+40), and Creighton (+44) round out the field.
Brigham Stewart birdied four of his first seven holes Monday en route to an even-par 72.
