INDIANAPOLIS – Finally, Butler coach LaVall Jordan has a second player in his first basketball recruiting class.
Bryce Golden, a 6-9 power forward who originally committed to Pittsburgh, announced Monday on Twitter that he had picked the Bulldogs. He also considered Illinois, Syracuse and Georgetown.
Golden is a senior at Saint James School in Hagerstown, Md. He is rated a four-star prospect by ESPN and a three-star by 247 Sports (203rd nationally) and Rivals. He averaged 15 points and eight rebounds for Saint James and is a three-time first team selection for All-Washington County.
Golden gives Butler “a solid body up front” and depth at power forward and center, according to a Twitter post by 247 Sports analyst Brian Snow.
