INDIANAPOLIS – Butler’s rise during the 2000s was never predicated on recruiting rankings. It was all about prospect identification, player development and team basketball.
Yet as Brian Snow, a recruiting analyst for 247 Sports, put it earlier this year:
“I’m not going to sit here and say recruiting rankings are perfect. But there’s a good correlation with them and overall success.”
If so, the Bulldogs are poised for such success. In early team recruiting rankings for the 2020 class, they are No. 4 behind Virginia, Duke and Kentucky.
