Butler’s finish matched the temperature of the basketball gym.
Playing in near 100-degree heat, Kelan Martin scored 11 of his 26 points in a 32-point fourth quarter as the Bulldogs rallied twice from nine-point deficits to win 84-80 over a team of professional players at the Javi Limones Pavilion in Madrid.
More great Butler coverage:
It was the Butler coaching debut of LaVall Jordan and first of four exhibition games on a tour of Spain. There was no air conditioning in the gym.
The Bulldogs next play Sunday in Albacete.
Martin shot 10-of-18 from the field, including four 3-pointers, and added nine rebounds.
