Indianapolis had a major influence on the All-Big East basketball team announced Sunday, although two-time selection Kellen Dunham of Butler was snubbed.
Among those selected to the six-man first team was Xavier’s Trevon Bluiett, a sophomore from Park Tudor.
Three-fifths of the second team represented Indy: senior Roosevelt Jones and sophomore Kelan Martin, both of Butler, and Georgetown guard D’Vauntes Smith-Rivera, a senior who played at North Central High School.
Head coaches vote for postseason honors. They are not permitted to vote for their own players.
A panel of seven CBS Sports reporters picked an All-Big East team that included Jones on the first five.
