INDIANAPOLIS – Jair Bolden scored all of his 16 points in the second half, featuring successive 3-pointers late in the game, and Butler shocked Seton Hall 61-52 Wednesday night in Big East basketball at Hinkle Fieldhouse.
Bolden went over 1,000 points for his college career, giving Butler three 1,000-point scorers for the first time in 63 years. He previously played at George Washington and South Carolina.
Bryce Nze, who had been sidelined by groin strain, returned and had 11 points and 13 rebounds for the Bulldogs (7-11, 8-13). He effectively defended NBA prospect Sando Mamukelashvili, who finished with 11 points on 4-of-13 shooting with six turnovers.
