Jackson Davis leaving; Butler looks at adding to roster

Sophomore forward Jackson Davis announced Monday on Twitter that he was transferring from Butler to Eastern Kentucky.

Eastern Kentucky is coming off a 15-16 basketball season, including a 6-10 record in the Ohio Valley Conference.

The 6-8 Davis, of Lexington, Ky., played eight minutes over Butler’s final six games and did not appear in either of the Bulldogs’ two NCAA tournament games. In 25 games, he averaged 5.7 minutes, 2.5 points, 1.6 rebounds and shot 56 percent from the field.

The Bulldogs have 10 players on scholarship for next season. With three available, Butler’s 2016-17 roster is in flux.
