IUPUI’s Jason Gardner is not a coach to whimper about how hard it is to win on the road in college basketball. He is looking past the Jaguars’ 1-9 road record.
“I don’t think it’s helped our record,” he said. “But I think it’s helped our chemistry.”
The Jaguars will not be in their own gym for Monday’s game against No. 9 Butler, but at least they stay in town. Butler leads the all-time series 4-0, all at Hinkle Fieldhouse.
IUPUI has embarked on a schedule featuring losses at Marquette (75-71), North Carolina State (79-56), Purdue (80-53), Creighton (90-65) and Memphis (84-48).
