ST. LOUIS – If you watch college basketball and thought Butler was UConn bad . . . well, you are accurate. Much more accurate than Butler.
Yet it would be unfair to diminish the defensive clinic put on Saturday by the Saint Louis Billikens. They bodied up the Bulldogs, were there on the catch, contested every shot, blocked attempts at the rim. The Billikens deservedly battered Butler 64-52.
“One of the better defensive performances I’ve been a part of in my 23 years as a college head coach,” Saint Louis coach Travis Ford.
The Bulldogs hope it was that good.
