INDIANAPOLIS – Analytics measure everything these days, including luck. According to kenpom.com, Butler was one of the unluckiest teams in college basketball.
That changed Saturday.
The Bulldogs blew a 17-point lead in less than six minutes. They were awarded the winning basket on a shot that never went through the net. Seton Hall’s potential winning 3-pointer went off the back rim.
After a three-game losing streak in which skeptics questioned their coach, effort and hoops acumen, maybe the Bulldogs were due for some luck.
