In a week in which Steph Curry made NBA history, Gordon Hayward climbed onto Curry’s stage.
Hayward scored 41 points on 15-of-19 shooting Wednesday night, leading the Charlotte Hornets to a 131-115 road victory over the San Antonio Spurts.
Hayward, 31, the former Butler forward from Brownsburg, became the second player this season – along with Curry – to score 40 points before the end of the third quarter. On Tuesday, Curry broke the NBA record for 3-pointers made in a career.
